2010 School Librarian Professional Development Day

DCLA is sponsoring the 2010 Professional Development Day for Public School Librarians. We've worked with the DC Public Schools and the DC Public Library to develop a series of sessions that will provide instruction and inspiration to Public School Librarians for the year to come.

The event will feature presentations highlighting activities by grade level (elementary, middle grades, and high school) and will include a boxed lunch to encourage conversation and partnerships between Public Schools and Public Libraries. The boxed lunch is being sponsored by Follett Library Services and Book Wholesalers, Inc.

Attendees will also be eligible for a raffle drawing for donated materials for their schools. DCLA Volunteers will be on hand to help with registration, the raffles, and distributing the boxed lunches.

The program and lunch will end by 1:00 pm so that librarians can return to their schools and get a jump on the school year that is about to begin.
